Performance has also always been part of the Outremer DNA, not only to be able to react quickly when confronted with tough weather conditions but also for the pleasure of sailing, of making one with nature. On an Outremer you need as little as 5 knots of wind to sail 90% of the time!

Recycled materials …

… A safe and solid structure will always be our number one priority. Many tests are undergone before implementing new eco-friendly materials. For instance, we are currently testing, on a different model, a new structure made of flax fibre instead of glass fibre.

On the Outremer 52 and 55 in particular, we have started integrating recycled PET foam in the cabinetry and choose to use reusable infusion sheets whenever possible in order to reduce our production waste. 

It’s a work in progress but change is now more than ever underway to attain the goal of an eco-friendlier Outremer, from the building process to life onboard.

Maximized self-sufficiency onboard...

... Outremers can host a large surface of solar panels on the bimini and davits. The Outremer 52 and 55 in particular boast 2 kW of solar energy. Enough to easily cover your day-to-day needs on board.

We also offer a high-performing 100 L/H dessalator watermaker, so that you don't need to bring along packs of wasteful water bottles!

The tools of an eco-responsible sailor ...

... The Outremer 52 comes with a well-ventilated fruit and vegetable cooler, allowing you to keep your fresh produce for longer. Say goodbye to boring and wasteful canned goods. You will also have the space to add your own herb garden!

Once you're done enjoying your delicious meal, getting rid of waste will be childs' play, thanks to our sorted waste bins.

And during your time onboard, in the sunny tropics, no need to use an excessive, high-consuming air conditioner. The Outremer 52 is conceived for ideal air ventilation, with large sliding windows.
