It was important that we kept in mind an appreciated safety feature of the 51’ which was the well-protected cockpit in bad weather, or with kids or pets. On the other hand we had to find a way to improve the access to the transoms for swimming. The result is a modular, removable seat which secures the access to the transom during a passage in bad weather and heavy seas.

Large glass surfaces and openings in the boat give this new model a 360° unobstructed view. Thus, wherever you are positioned in the saloon or cockpit, the crews benefit from increased visibility when sailing: a reassuring advantage. These large openings are possible thanks to an innovative technology developed by the Gunboat shipyard (also a member of the Grand Large Yachting Group), which reduces the weight of the structure while maintaining its unfailing strength.

Circulation is favored on this boat. Access to the skirts is simple but secure. The full opening of the bay window allows an uninterrupted view and creates a welcoming space between the cockpit and the saloon. The kitchen work surface connects the interior and exterior spaces of the catamaran and will undoubtedly be a privileged place to meet at any time of the day.

Even ventilation is excellent with the large saloon openings.

A modular area in the port hull, forward (my Free Space) will allow you to customize your boat according to your needs: convertible office, design studio, independent skipper’s cabin, workshop, children’s cabin. Everyone will naturally find their own space!

The modular helm, positioned on the starboard side, guarantees a pleasure of steering with different positions. Off-center position: allows exceptional visibility on the sails and the water. Central position: benefit from proximity to the engine controls for perfect harbor maneuvers. Folded position in the cockpit under the bimini cover: allows total control in all conditions. And if you can't get enough, for that performance catamaran feeling, opt for the extra tiller on the port side!
